Machine Learning in your WordPress
A few days ago, I mentioned somewhere on the internet, that it is possible to use machine learning on my blog. And actually, it’s not something impressive, to be honest. I just don’t think about it. There are many areas, where machine learning should be used. One of them is quickly addable onto your pages. It’s all about automatically recognizing, what is in the picture using Cognitive Services, which should be used in some scope for free. You have to register on Microsoft pages, after that you will get a lot of API IDs. The step by step guide for this feature is:
- Download plugin named: Automatic Alternative Text
- Activate this plugin
- Register yourself on Microsoft Cognitive Services
- Get API
- Put those API into the setting in the bottom
- That’s it, you’re in 😉
Once your key is entered any image you upload from that point forward will automatically have its alt text set to a caption supplied by Microsoft’s Cognitive Services.
The Computer Vision API’s algorithms analyze the content found in an image and generates complete sentences of human readable language describing what is found in the image. The Automatic Alternative Text plugin gets this description and adds it as the alt text for each image uploaded while the plugin is active.
